What is Paint Enhancement?

Here’s the simple answer: Paint enhancement is a less extreme form of paint correction. When we perform paint enhancement, we are telling the customer what paint imperfections WILL be fixed, and what imperfections WILL NOT be fixed. Paint enhancement is the most common type of correction we do! Why is that? Well, most customers don’t care about the tiny imperfections that they really can’t see anyway.

What is Paint Correction?

Paint correction is nothing more than more aggressive paint enhancement. Can you see the pattern here? When we are dealing with a vehicle whose paint is REALLY DAMAGED, or a customer who has a detailed eye, we will perform paint correction in order to remove the maximum amount of scratches, swirls, etchings, and paint imperfections as possible. Once again, this is necessary not only for visual appeal, but to create a smooth surface with which the surface protection can bond to the paint.

Which One Is For Me?

Vehicles that are under 5 years old will generally benefit from Paint Enhancement, and vehicles 5-10 years: Paint Correction. That said, not every vehicle is the same. Variables such as Tunnel washes, outdoor parking, neglect, and poor wash technique to name a few, can speed up the rate in which your car ages.

The choice between paint enhancement and paint correction has a lot of variables, but it ultimately comes down to two things: paint condition, and the customers preference. We tend to recommend paint correction to clients with paint in less-than-great condition, while recommending paint enhancement to clients with paint in good-great condition.

At Ursa Luxe Auto Coatings, we put the client above all else. In other words, we don’t want the customer to pay for something that won’t benefit them, which is why we make an action plan with every paint correction customer to address questions, concerns, and which service would better serve our client :)
